The 8th International Infrastructure Investment & Construction Forum (IIICF) was held in The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel on June 1-2, which saw the presence of more than 1,500 political celebrities, and representatives of large engineering contractors from 63 countries and regions in the world, including 56 ministerial officials, 21 international financial institutions as well as more than 600 organizations, e.g., international associations of contractors, contractors, equipment manufacturers, consultancy services and industrial chain service providers. Over 64% of participants have decision-making rights in their companies or organizations, making this event a major opportunity for all corporate and individual participants.

Foton Motor has prepared for this event for a long time. Establishing partnership with China International Contractors Association, held “FOTON GALA NIGHT” before IIICF opened, which functions as a bridge for seamless connection between Foton Motor and international infrastructure contractors and which kicked off the 8th IIICF. During the event, Foton Motor also reached global strategic customers and valuable customers in a precise way in the form of high-end talks and “intelligent experience booth” so that they can fully understand the leading technologies and global operating capacity of Foton Motor.

At the “FOTON GALA NIGHT” held on the evening of May 31, the Vice President of the China International Contractors Association, Yu Xiaohong made a speech for the event, “This evening kicks off the opening process of the 8th IIICF. Present at the event are engineering contractors, upstream and downstream enterprises along the chain of equipmnet manufacturing. Today we wish to provide a platform of exchanges and cooperation while discussing about the Belt & Road Initiative, international infrastructure construction and development.”

Highlights

Foton Motor fully abided by the theme of IIICF, prepared major cases of Foton national projects for the Belt & Road Initiative, produces video clips, and touched all customers present with the holistic brand philosophy of Foton Motor, whole-cycle one-stop solutions to vehicles, and capacity in large international engineering service.

In Africa, in 2014-2015, FOTON provided engineering vehicles and supporting service of tipper, tractor, mixer truck and sprinkler, etc. working for Mombasa Nairobi Railway and Senegal TT Highway contracted by CRBC.

In Asia, Foton Motor has served Gwadar Port Free Trade Zone and KKH highway in Pakistan, deploying professional teams to these projects and providing whole-cycle products and service for customers, thus shortening the adapting period of vehicles in use. Besides, Foton Motor has signed with Myanmar customers order of 1,000 AUV city buses fueled by CNG, which is the largest export of city buses to Southeast Asia since P.R.C. was established.

Foton Motor has initiated negotiation with contractor of fully-automatic driverless light rail project in Astana. Once the agreement is reached, Foton Motor will provide relevant engineering machinery, heavy-duty trucks and other products and supporting service. Upon completion, this project, as the most technically representative urban transport project in Kazakhstan and entire Central Asia, will greatly improve travel convenience, comfort and safety for local residents.

This is just one of the Belt & Road key projects deployed. Till today, Foton Motor has established a sound partnership with engineering contractors in China and has delivered 50,000 units in both domestic and overseas markets. Besides, Foton Motor has established a strategic partnership with CCCC, CSCEC, CRCC and CRECG and participated in the infrastructure construction in more than 30 countries. In 2016, Foton Motor and China-Africa Development Fund, both parties will join hands to fulfill the Belt & Road Initiative.

Just like Liu Guanhua, Executive Member of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, said at the event, “Macao will work hard to get involved in the Belt & Road Initiative”. Foton Motor will continue to respond to the Initiative and grasp the opportunity to become the leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in it.

Rooted in China, target at the world

Not only to be a new benchmark of Manufacturing of China, but also aiming to be the global leader of commercial vehicles, Foton Motor is speeding up the layout in whole-cycle industrial chain in the world. Till today, 15 overseas plants have been put into production, covering its whole product line and having capacity of 200,000 units per year. In 2016, Foton Motor exported more than 60,000 commercial vehicles, continuing to be China’s largest exporter of commercial vehicles and the leading brand of commercial vehicles in Latin America and Southeast Asia, outperforming Japanese brands.
